Acid Pro is a full-featured digital audio workstation (DAW) that supports loop-based music production, multitrack audio, and MIDI workflows. You can create musical projects that include any one or any combination of all three workflows. You can use it to record multiple tracks simultaneously, punch into a track to record another take, edit tracks, mix multiple tracks of audio, loop content, and MIDI-generated music, and deliver it all as a single mixed file.

Acid Pro supports VSTi, so you can use your favorite soft synths in your projects. You have full control over MIDI sequencing and the mix of the audio created by your soft synths, so you can easily mix your synths into your overall audio mix.

Acid Pro works perfectly for creating a musical score. With complete control over project tempo, you can can easily create complex tempo maps that ensure the important audio hit points match the corresponding video hit points.
